Problem
DMX controllers often need to interact with external industrial sensors and devices operating at different voltages. Direct electrical connections can introduce noise, ground loops, and potential damage to the controller.
Solution
Designed an isolated digital input stage using optocouplers for safe signal detection and a transistor-based output stage capable of switching external loads. The circuit supports wide input voltage ranges while maintaining complete isolation between field devices and controller electronics.
Outcome
Created a reliable and scalable interface module suitable for lighting controllers, automation systems, and industrial control applications where electrical isolation and signal integrity are critical.
